Our cavalcade of posts featuring new team members continues! Today we’re excited to announce that Adekola Fakorede has joined Zeitspace as a software engineer. Somewhat predictably we asked Kola a few questions, and we’re sharing his answers below. We think they strike an interesting chord.

Why Software Development?

I’ve always wanted to do something related to tech and I thrived in Mathematics and Physics. As such, I joined the Electrical Engineering program at the University of Waterloo and got to take courses that required coding. I landed some software development internships and I’ve been hooked on coding ever since.

What kind of development do you like? Mobile? Web? Something else?

Most of my experience at the moment is in Web Development - mostly front-end. I’ve done a bit of back-end as well and mobile. My favorite is web development with mobile as a close second. I’m also interested in DevOps.

Recommend one thing (maybe a book, movie, album, TV show, physical experience…) Why?

Avengers: Endgame. Best movie I can remember having seen. It’s different than the mainstream hero-villain movies and does a great job in keeping you up on your seat for hours. Great movie!!!

What’s your favourite new (or old) discovery in Waterloo Region?

My favorite discovery is Waterloo Park where you get to see different animals. It’s also a nice place to hang out and have fun in the summer.

Share a cool thing that folks might like to know about you?

I play the piano and I’m interested in jazz and classical music. I also play chess.
